Hi and welcome to Crocodile Productions' official website. We offer high quality video production. Please feel free to browse our website and view some of the works created by us.
Crocodile Productions is spawned from the serendipitous union of two people who share a love of film.
Produer and owner Barbara Urbach studied Film Production at York University.
Our first production was a film entitled El Belcho. The film was about a young boy who is bullied at school and then has a dream recounting the events somewhat tangentially. It was great fun and filmed with a cast of almost a dozen children at Historic Backus Heritage Village The film was well received and achieved "Favourite Film" status at the 2008 London "Film on the Fringe" Festival.
Our entry into the 62 Hour Fringe Film contest entitled Emergence yielded an honourable mention for "Visual Achievement."
Our next production "Jackpot!"featured Dominique Kamras and Ian O'Brien. Written and directed by Gary Van Osch the film is based on a true story as recounted to him by a close friend who had recently experienced the loss of her mother, however it should be noted that "During most of the conversations they were extremely intoxicated." Appearances by Eric Jeddry and Megan Thelosen as well as old favourites Benjamin Van Osch and Merle Byrne (El Belcho) round off the cast.
The film was awarded "Favourite Film" at the 2009 "Film on the Fringe" and was shown during the London Short Film Showcase November 6, 7, and 8, 2009.
