February 4, 2012 - Battle of the Longwoods
The Royal Scots Aka The Upper Thames Military Re-enactment Society joined forces with us to produce a re-enactment film that is truly unique and original. Over two dozen actors portraying more than 50 characters gathered at "Battle Hill" to film the "Battle" phase of our short film which depicts the events leading up to and including "The Battle of the Longwoods" that occurred on March 4, 1814. The British loss of almost twenty men is significant and it is generally believed that Capt. James Basden acted inappropriately by conducting a frontal assault on the the American abiti despite being advised against it. Thanks to Brad Stott who helped organize from start to finish and Glenn Stott for his amazing dialogue. The film stars Larry Barnard as Captain James Basden, Kent May as Captain McGregor and Marvin Recker as William Caldwell.
